I avoided reading the books when I found out that Netflix was releasing the show.

However, I did read "Six of Crows" and "Crooked Kingdom". Those books are in the same universe as the original trilogy and focus on "the Crows" characters.

Interestingly enough, the writers of the show seemed to take a lot of material from those two books and integrate them into the show...but in a way to where it wouldn't REALLY mess up the timeline or what happens in those books.

And yes, the crows are definitely my favorite.
