For me, putting up our tree is like taking a walk down memory lane. Each year I bought an ornament for our kids that represented something significant in their year. It could be an interest, a hobby, a sport, playing an instrument, etc. We would have an "ornament opening" each year where they would guess what was significant enough about their year that would cause me to find an ornament for it...and to guess what the new ornament was. My dad helped me put our tree up this year and I felt like I explained the reasons behind lots of ornaments. Lots of memories on that tree!
