Greetings!.

I have added one of my new findings and observations to the iNaturalis community. This is one of the types of brown grasshopper species.

Coptacrinae is a genus of brown grasshoppers (Caelifera Acrididae) in the subfamily Catantopinae, a group of insects belonging to the family Acrididae Genera (grasshopper family) such as Macrotona. Sometimes called "spur-necked grasshoppers", but the name is also used for grasshoppers from other subfamilies, including the genus Melanoplus of Melanoplinae.

Or by local names. These grasshoppers are often called leaf grasshoppers, because they often live or are found on plant leaves or because they eat leaves.

There are so many types and species of grasshoppers with various differences. Starting from body size to color patterns. this one is brownish without any other color variations or only has one color.

This one has a small size, but sometimes there are also grasshoppers of this type with a larger size. In general, all grasshoppers have the same habits. They are leaf eaters and young shoots of plants.

sourceiNaturalist is a citizen science platform and online social network that allows users to record and share observations about biodiversity, as well as assist in species identification. The platform allows users to upload photos or videos of plants, animals, and other organisms, which can then be identified by a community of other users. In addition, iNaturalist also has an automatic identification feature that uses computer vision to help identify species.
