문화체육관광부는 10월 8~9일 경주 화백컨벤션센터에서 ‘2026 세계경주포럼’을 연다고 6일 발표했다. 국내외 전문가 약 700명이 문화·창의산업을 통한 지속 가능한 국제협력을 논의할 예정이다. 포럼에는 청년, 지역과 세계, 디지털·AI, 역사·문화를 다루는 네 개 세션과 10개 연계 프로그램이 마련된다. 지난해 경주 APEC 정상회의에서 이어진 문화 분야 논의도 다룬다. 전통 차 체험과 공연 등 부대 행사가 열리며, 누구나 참여할 수 있다.
South Korea’s culture ministry announced that the World Gyeongju Forum 2026 will be held on October 8–9. About 700 experts are expected to discuss cooperation in cultural and creative industries. Four sessions and 10 partner programs will cover youth, regional culture, AI and heritage. Tea experiences and performances are also planned, and the forum is open to all.
