WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE SPORT AT SCHOOL?

After school sport back then was always football, didnt know any other sport and honestly i didnt care for any other sport at the time. Nothing too organized at first, just grabbing one tattered ball that we hid from the teachers and calling a few guys over, and turning any open space into a pitch. Thats the beauty of football or soccer as some people will call it, it doesnt really require any expensive equipment or pitch at the rural stage, just an open space and two sticks to signify the goal post and you are done. But i remember one day and on this particular day, I decided to actually take it seriously and join the school team during practice.

That turned out to be what I had been missing all along. Playing casually was fun, but playing with structure, discipline, and teammates who really wanted to win pushed me harder than ever. They'd always invited me to play but u always turned them down. Soon enough, I started improving, my passes became sharper, my positioning better, and I even managed to score a few goals during practice matches. That feeling? Unmatched!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing I always loved was how football brought everyone together, any sport to be honest. It didn’t matter what class you were in or who your friends were, once the game started, everyone had a role to play. I usually preferred playing in midfield, controlling the tempo and linking up play, though sometimes I’d push forward just to take a shot when the chance came.

Of course, no football story is complete without the gear. My boots weren’t anything fancy, a bit worn out even, but they felt like they were made just for me. My beautiful adidas F50s, memories!

Even when there wasn’t an actual crowd, it always felt like there was one. The noise from classmates watching, the fouls, celebrating goals made it memorable, sometimes all we looked forward to during classes was the after class football, but now i cant even remember the last time i kicked a ball, those days are gone i guess.
