The tree was only $7.90 and in full bloom!

It's very nice, indeed, to treat yourself like that. But I'm thinking that this beautiful tree got you and not the other way around. So it's not what it cost you, it's what you're going to have to do from this day forward to keep it nice and healthy. It's a member of the family and will need you to talk to it, play music for it, and attend to its needs for food and light.
