As far as I understand, many of these paintings were commissioned, yet it is very fitting to highlight that each artist imprinted their own mark and, in a way, left their personal interpretation of those biblical scenes. Beyond technique and meaning lies the legacy of each artist individually, and the Ribaltas stood out, from what I can see. They are beautiful works and I truly like them a lot. I suppose they are indeed complicated to create and that one must have knowledge of human anatomy and proportions and such, but that is something taught very well in the field of the visual arts. Of course, there are always gifted students hahaha… and the time taken to finish a work is the least of it; I believe an artist never really finishes one completely… there will always be details that, once hung and ‘finished’, they would like to improve or change. Artists are obsessive like that…

Bueno... ya me tengo que ir. I have to get on with the housework now that the electricity has come back, and I must cook and do everything that requires it at the same time. But I am already getting used to it…
