And it occurs to me to dedicate this space to it because today it has been played 4 times. I have realized that I hardly use this phone to communicate with my family, friends or work colleagues. We have the cell phone, social networks... 4G.
However, this idea that I share with you is a small glimpse -perhaps- of a reality that is yet to come. What happens is that here in my country everything takes longer than anywhere else. Here at home, I use the landline phone more to connect to the Internet, since it is the other way I have to do it. This year it has presented quite a few flaws and I am told by ETECSA (the only Telecommunications Company we have) that the problem lies in the fact that the copper lines are very old, they are broken, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
In the world, fixed telephony is already sentenced to death. They have been saying it for years, and I think it was in 2012 that Bill Gates also warned about it. I guess it makes no sense to pay for two services, one of which is hardly used. I was reading that in some first-world countries, telephone companies have carried out studies before disconnecting and have even offered solutions to senior citizens, perhaps the most sensitive to this issue, to have a wireless box to replace the landline phone.

Ese d铆a celebramos un poquito pero yo por la tarde ten铆a una cobertura de prensa. De todos modos no ven铆an con intenci贸n de quedarse. El plan que tenemos es celebrar todos juntos el 31.
Entonces como ya hemos llegado al d铆a 24 de este Not So Ordinary Ordinary Items Challenge, vengo a hablarles de un objeto que quiz谩s a algunos ya les parezca un tanto anacr贸nico: el tel茅fono fijo.
Y se me ocurre dedicarle este espacio porque hoy ha sonado 4 veces. Me he dado cuenta que apenas ya uso este tel茅fono para comunicarme con mi familia, amigos o compa帽eros de trabajo. Tenemos el m贸vil, las redes sociales... la 4G.
Sin embargo, esta idea que les comparto es un peque帽o asomo -quizas- de una realidad que est谩 por venir. Lo que pasa es que aqu铆 en mi pa铆s todo se demora m谩s que en cualquier parte. Aqu铆 en casa, uso m谩s el telefono fijo para conectarme a Internet, pues es esa otra v铆a que tengo para hacerlo. Este a帽o ha presentado bastantes desperfectos y me dicen los de ETECSA (la 煤nica Empresa de Telecomunicaciones que tenemos) que el problema radica en que las lineas de cobre son muy viejas, est谩n partidas, etc... etc.. etc.
En el mundo la telefon铆a fija ya est谩 sentenciada a muerte. Lo vienen diciendo hace a帽os, creo que fue en 2012 que Bill Gates lo alert贸 tambi茅n. Es que supongo que no tenga ning煤n sentido pagar por dos servicios, uno de los cuales apenas se utiliza. Estuve leyendo que en algunos pa铆ses primermundistas las empresas telef贸nicas han realizado estudios antes de llevar a cabo la desconexi贸n y hasta han ofrecido soluciones a las personas de la tercera edad, quiz谩s las m谩s sensibles con este tema, de poseer, en sustituci贸n del tel茅fono fijo, una caja inal谩mbrica.
Sin tel茅fono, muchos enloquecen
El invento de Alexander Graham Bell, con la llegada de Internet, y la tecnolog铆a m贸vil, resolvi贸 muchos problemas relativos a la comunicaci贸n, pero ciertamente ha creado otros. Es adictivo. Propone una mayor cercan铆a pero a la vez te a铆sla. Y no creo que tenga que ver con 茅l en s铆 mismo, sino con el uso que le damos nosotros.
驴Por qu茅 si estamos compartiendo en familia, o con amigos tenemos el m贸vil pegado a nosotros todo el tiempo? A veces no vivimos los momentos por querer documentar todo con sus c谩maras, cada vez m谩s poderosas, para luego compartirlo en las redes sociales.
Para 2023 quisiera mejorar en este sentido y me pondr茅 l铆mites de uso para lograrlo.
Ese tel茅fono fijo que est谩 tan callado, parece como si respetara nuestra vida. Es el anciano de la casa, el m谩s sabio; sin embargo llegar谩 el d铆a en que se tendr谩 que marchar. Hoy son贸 4 veces porque no he mirado apenas el smartphone y mi madre estaba preocupada. Ya les digo, me he acostumbrado a que se mantenga en silencio, f铆jense si es as铆 que a veces estoy escribiendo aqu铆 en mi port谩til, mete un chillido y me hace pegar un brinco, 隆qu茅 cabr贸n!
