Me behind the sunset

Good evening everyone and Happy Chinese New Year.

Yesterday was Chinese New Year's eve and my mom and I went to a Taoist Temple in San Fernando, La Union for a temple visit. It is a Chinese temple to their God Mazu. Mazu is a Sea Goddess. This temple is called Macho Temple. We visited here a few times and I am still amazed everytime we go visit. It is very different compared to Christian and Catholic church.

We went there before sunset and the temple was still open. We were there at 4pm and they closed at 5pm. There is no entrance fee but they have a dress code and you need to wear face mask. Shorts, sando and flip flops are not allowed inside.

Inside the temple, there were a lot of fruits on the information table. There were also a lot of candles and insense. They have small square stuff like pillows where you kneel and pray. They also offer free 3 insense, light them and then say your prayers. My mom did. After mom prayed, we wander around and took a lot of photos and I am sharing some tonight.

There were also a lot of tourists from other provinces and I saw everyone had a great time. I did too. It was very pretty out there.

That's all for today and thank you for reading. Kung Hei Fat Choi.

Xoxo,
