I like that kind of friendship: that even after a long time without seeing or speaking to each other, when you meet, there are no recriminations or complaints, just the opportunity to catch up. I have two friends from my childhood; I'm godmother to their children, and I keep in touch with them, but when we stop talking for a long time, it's no big deal. If you and your friend have already reconnected, don't lose touch again, because life is so short, and we shouldn't waste time. Best wishes, my friend.
