So many things I feel like saying, Eric! As a literature lover, I know that writing literature has no monetary function (only a few writers manage to live off their royalties) other than the intention to move, to thrill, to make people feel. No one writes to get rich, but to get out of himself what he can surely grow better outside. There are many famous writers who did not succeed in their first publications (it is even said that many of them were tempted to throw in the towel, but thank God they did not). On the other hand, writing a book is like bringing a child into the world (saving distances): there is the commitment, the expectation, and it is normal to feel some fear, because of the reception, the acceptance. The important thing is that you believe in this new project, otherwise you would not be investing time and money.
