I believe that trust is necessary for all types of relationships. I believe that any vote of confidence is preceded by time and the type of behavior the other has had. The more you get to know a person, the more or less you trust them according to their behavior. Of course, sometimes in the workplace that vote of confidence is like a blank check, paid in advance.
