I think that even though the world ran into its burrow like a little animal scared by the song of the powerful, we also saw a group of people confronting and empowering themselves. A lot of dirt came out this year. While it is true that we should not wear ourselves out in pointless discussions, the spirit that prevailed in some was one of struggle because the inequalities became more evident.
