Every day I am more surprised by the maturity of Smallsteps. Death is not easy to assume, especially if it is the death of a being that has been close to us. Some experts have said that there is the importance of having pets from a young age, because it not only creates responsibilities in the child but also prepares them for death. I agree with you and I think it would be ideal to maintain that look of wonderment over the years. We adults witness the most fantastic, wonderful and unusual events and sometimes we remain unmoved by them. I will always remember the first time a little two-year-old niece saw the sea: her eyes popped out and she shivered. Not losing that sincere look is a challenge. It is always good to read you.
