I read a story a few weeks ago about a woman who had paid someone to kill her husband so she could collect the life insurance money. But her little scheme didn't go as expected, because not only did the police find out that she was the one who was behind her husband's death, it was also reported that the insurance money would actually be going to his first wife. So, what she had done was in vain, and now, she will most likely spend the rest of her life in prison.
This man probably would have been better off either staying with his first wife or just not getting married again. He probably would have still been alive. As bad as he may have thought his first wife had been, at least she hadn't done to him what his second one ended up doing. And I know the second wife would have never wanted the first one to get that money, so I'm sure that when she found out about that, it was like having a sword stuck in her side.
