I've always wondered why shipping and handling fees are so expensive, even on items that are not very big or particularly difficult to ship. I know it's most likely because of greed, and in some cases, scamming. It's ridiculous for someone to order some small bottle of face cream for $5.00, then end up having to pay nearly twice of what it cost just to have it shipped (and, I suppose, handled).
Anyone who uses online shopping sites like Amazon, and doesn't have Prime membership, knows just how expensive shipping costs can be. These types of companies will try to give you excuses as to why the shipping fee is so high, but I think it's all just a game and that these fees can be lowered--at least a little.
