A falta de pocos días para finalizar el mercado de fichajes veraniegos del fútbol europeo, especialmente en La Liga de España, por segundo año consecutivo el FC Barcelona protagoniza la "Novela del Verano" a causa de contar con los servicios de un jugador que es parte de otro club español; en esta oportunidad el objeto del deseo es el delantero argentino Julián Álvarez, quien, después de cumplir dos años de un contrato de cinco con el club Atlético de Madrid, ha demostrado de manera privada y pública su deseo de fichar por el FC Barcelona; lamentablemente, tanto para él como para el club catalán, los directivos del Atleti han rechazado una y otra vez la idea de que el delantero sea parte del actual bicampeón de La Liga, alegando que el Barça ha demostrado una falta de ética en su práctica para ser el nuevo destino de Julián.

De una reunión en donde supuestamente se pactó la salida de Julián a final de temporada y que motivó al jugador a demostrar profesionalismo y convicción a dar todo por su todavía club, al disputar el encuentro de vuelta por la semifinal de Champions League con su tobillo derecho lesionado, lo cual le llevó a tomar la decisión de infiltrar la zona afectada para mitigar el dolor y que lamentablemente conllevó agravar la lesión que posteriormente lo dejó fuera por casi 40 días, peligrando su participación en el Mundial de este año. El delantero argentino, estando concentrado con su selección, describió que el pacto entre él, su representante y Gil Marín no se llevaría a cabo porque el máximo directivo del Atleti se rehusó a escuchar la primera oferta del club culé por Julián. En ese instante, el club generó una serie de mensajes de burla hacia el Barça, a quien, por diferentes mensajes, noticias de parte de periodistas e influencers afines a los culés, decidieron hasta denunciar en UEFA al Barcelona por prácticas equívocas al querer fichar a su jugador.

Siendo sincero, es difícil resumir todo lo sucedido desde mayo hasta la fecha en esta situación que envuelve tanto a Julián, el Barça y el Atleti, pero más difícil aún es darle la razón a los tres, preferiblemente a Álvarez y al club que todavía es su jugador; esto lo digo porque siendo sincero no entiendo el ataque o señalamiento hacia el Barça a quien se le acusa de causar la disyuntiva entre un jugador y un club, y es que escuchando las palabras ofrecidas por Laporta hace días, es claro que el jugador junto a su representante mostraron y siguen mostrando interés de ser parte del club culé y eso generó interés en el Barça quienes primeramente mandaron una oferta por un jugador, creo que desde ahí todo está dentro de lo normal en el rol que el Barça debe prácticar y lo cual me hace pensar que el señalamiento hacia quien tiene ética o no recae en Julián Álvarez y el Atleti representado por Gil Marín, es en ellos quienes están todos los reflectores sobre cual es lo correcto o incorrecto en toda esta situación que al final no está favoreciendo a absolutamente a nadie porque el jugador está en una situación complicada mental, motivacional y con respecto al club, pues es notorio que el Atleti necesita contar con dinero para poder fichar e inscribir a nuevos jugadores y esos problemas en mi opinión, afectan no solo el comienzo, sino toda la temporada. Habrá que esperar qué sucede en los próximos días y ver cómo finaliza la nueva novela futbolística del verano español.

To be honest, it’s hard to summarize everything that’s happened from May to the present in this situation involving Julián, Barça, and Atleti, but it’s even harder to agree with all three of them—especially Álvarez and the club that still counts him as a player; I say this because, to be honest, I don’t understand the criticism or accusations directed at Barça, which is being blamed for causing the rift between a player and a club. The fact is, listening to Laporta’s comments from a few days ago, it’s clear that the player and his agent showed—and continue to show—interest in joining Barça, and that sparked interest from Barça, who were the first to make an offer for the player; I believe that from that point on, everything has been within the bounds of what Barça is expected to do, which leads me to think that the question of who is acting ethically—or not—falls on Julián Álvarez and Atlético Madrid, represented by Gil Marín. The spotlight is on them regarding what is right or wrong in this entire situation, which, in the end, isn’t benefiting anyone at all, because the player is in a complicated mental, and in terms of his relationship with the club. It’s clear that Atlético needs funds to sign and register new players, and these issues, in my opinion, affect not only the start of the season but the entire season. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the coming days and watch how this latest Spanish summer football saga plays out.
