El momento que descubrí a Christopher Nolan como director fue con "Batman Begins" (2005) y de ahí en adelante he visto casi todas sus películas y digo "casi todas" porque todavía me falta por ver su primer largometraje llamado "Following" (2008); con Nolan me sucedió lo que me pasa cuando descubro una banda musical, su actual trabajo me engancha que puedo escuchar muchas veces, pero al momento debo investigar e ir hacia atrás y saber de sus trabajos anteriores y después esperar que los nuevos proyectos sean muchos mejores de los ya conocidos, es por eso que en el momento de ver el primer film de la trilogía de Batman dirigido por Nolan debería buscar que ver sobre este director, pero al final decidí que esa próxima película era una historia alejada de los cómics, una que reúne la magia, el amor, la ciencia-ficción y la obsesión, esa es "The Prestige" (2006), justamente estrenada un año después de Batman Begins y con este film protagonizado por Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall y Michael Caine fue que pude en realidad conectar con este director, después ví "Insomnia" (2002) mientras esperaba el film que creo que lo terminó de catapultar a la gran fama que vive ahora.

The moment I discovered Christopher Nolan as a director was with "Batman Begins" (2005) and from then on I have seen almost all his movies and I say "almost all" because I have yet to see his first feature film called "Following" (2008); with Nolan happened to me what happens to me when I discover a musical band, his current work hooks me that I can listen many times, but at the moment I must investigate and go back and know about his previous works and then hope that the new projects are much better than the already known, that's why at the time of seeing the first film of the Batman trilogy directed by Nolan I should look for what to see about this director, but in the end I decided that this next film was a story away from the comics, one that brings together magic, love, science fiction and obsession, that is "The Prestige" (2006), just released a year after Batman Begins and with this film starring Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall and Michael Caine was that I could really connect with this director, then I saw "Insomnia" (2002) while waiting for the film that I think ended up catapulting him to the great fame he lives now.

En 2008 es donde entendí que este gran director se puede influir en otros films, en el estilo de otros directores e implementarlo en sus producciones, esto ocurre en "The Dark Knight" en dónde el director británico toma lo hecho por Michael Mann en el thriller criminal en dónde se enfrentan dos inteligentes hombres que a pesar de no ser perfectos representan el bien y el mal, el film que hablo es "HEAT" (1995); si hacemos comparativa en ambos films veremos grandes similitudes y esto es algo que me hizo respetar a este director que no teme al hablar de la influencia del trabajo hecho por Mann y lo que pienso que elevó el nivel no solo de la historia de este héroe, sino de cómo se hace cine basado en personajes de los comics; la importancia de la visión de Chris, la decisión de implementar realismo, drama y terror en esta historia en dónde existe una guerra entre un personaje que quiere ser destructor y otro un salvador, demuestra la confianza y libertad que tuvo este director para realizar uno de sus grandes trabajos, uno que será siempre muy difícil de superar.

In 2008 is where I understood that this great director can influence other films, in the style of other directors and implement it in their productions, this happens in "The Dark Knight" where the British director takes what was done by Michael Mann in the crime thriller where two intelligent men who despite not being perfect represent the good and evil, the film I'm talking about is "HEAT" (1995); if we make a comparison in both films we will see great similarities and this is something that made me respect this director who is not afraid to talk about the influence of the work done by Mann and what I think raised the level not only of the story of this hero, but of how cinema is made based on comic book characters; the importance of Chris's vision, the decision to implement realism, drama and terror in this story where there is a war between a character who wants to be a destroyer and another a savior, shows the confidence and freedom that this director had to make one of his greatest works, one that will always be very difficult to surpass.

A pesar del éxito con esta segunda película de Batman, creo que con el film "Inception" alcanzó un nivel superior del que ya tenía; muchas de las tomas hechas en The Dark Knight las realizó en este film, pero todo está en la historia en dónde pienso que toma muy en serio el trabajo como guionista tal como lo hizo con Memento y The Prestige para implementarlo en una gran producción cosa que no había ocurrido antes, el presupuesto de este film le dio la oportunidad de realizar impresionantes escenas cómo es la pelea dentro del hotel mientras transcurre "el segundo sueño" o las escenas en Francia en dónde nos enseña cómo crear y cambiar las cosas dentro de un sueño y sus consecuencias, con todo esto y a pesar de ser su segunda gran producción este fue el momento en dónde Nolan sabe que si quería seguir mostrando su visión tanto en la dirección como en la escritura, no había duda que grandes presupuestos es la única herramienta para lograrlo y por eso pienso que al realizar "Interstellar" tal vez llegó el momento de darlo todo en la búsqueda de realizar un excelente film de ciencia-ficción.

Despite the success with this second Batman movie, I think with the film "Inception" he reached a higher level than he already had; Many of the shots made in The Dark Knight were made in this film, but everything is in the story where I think he takes very seriously the work as a screenwriter as he did with Memento and The Prestige to implement it in a big production which had not happened before, the budget of this film gave him the opportunity to make impressive scenes such as the fight inside the hotel while "the second dream" takes place or the scenes in France where he shows us how to create and change things in a dream and its consequences, with all this and despite being his second big production this was the moment where Nolan knows that if he wanted to continue showing his vision both in directing and writing, there was no doubt that big budgets is the only tool to achieve it and that's why I think that when making "Interstellar" maybe it was time to give everything in the search of making an excellent sci-fi film.

Pienso que con el estreno de Interstellar en dónde la historia trasciende entre planetas, universos y el tiempo, se convirtió en un momento de infección en este gran director porque seguramente sintió que hacer un film más grande no podía conseguir ese reconocimiento en los grandes premios al cine en dónde todavía no se hace presente; a pesar de todo esto pienso que Nolan no dejará de hacer cine, de realizar historias en dónde el tiempo es un protagonista poderoso que no es visible, pero con un peso muy importante, que es un hombre que usa la cámara y sus historias para jugar con la mente de los espectadores, que crea grandes héroes dispuestos a sacrificar sus vidas para salvar a otros y es que Nolan sabe que usar para que sus historias resalten cuando deba filmarlas, es alguien que tiene el poder de controlar lo que sea, pero todo con el mejor propósito el cual es el entretener a todo público con majestuosas historias; por todo lo antes descrito es que admiro a este director y con tan solo un anuncio de proyectos pronto a realizar, me basta para creer que cuando llegue el estreno de ese film estaré en un 100% de seguridad que veré algo extraordinario y ojo, no soy un seguidor ciego, solo es que mis expectativas siempre han Sido respondidas y por eso confío en este director.

I think that with the release of Interstellar where the story transcends between planets, universes and time, it became a moment of infection in this great director because surely he felt that making a bigger film could not get that recognition in the big film awards where it is still not present; despite all this I think that Nolan will not stop making films, making stories where time is a powerful protagonist that is not visible, but with a very important weight, he is a man who uses the camera and his stories to play with the minds of the viewers, he creates great heroes willing to sacrifice their lives to save others and Nolan knows what to use to make his stories stand out when he has to film them, he is someone who has the power to control anything, but all with the best purpose which is to entertain all audiences with majestic stories; for all the above described is that I admire this director and with only one announcement of projects soon to be made, it is enough for me to believe that when the premiere of that film arrives I will be 100% sure that I will see something extraordinary and watch out, I am not a blind follower, it is just that my expectations have always been answered and that is why I trust this director.
