Hi Steemit !!!

So this is my 'formal' introduction.

On this social network, I decided that my name will be @namazu.

I consider my self to be an 'idiot', like everybody else. I mean, 'idiot' with out the negative connotations. It is derived by the awareness of my fundamental limitations by being a finite, in time a space, being. I'm finite thus my knowledge is finite. I can not know everything because I can not be everywhere, always and for ever. I'm finite. In a world that perhaps is infinite, for sure it is very very big. 

So my knowledge about the world is finite in a infinite world, thus I'm an 'idiot' and I know nothing (in comparison to the potential infinity that exists.)

I just started with Steemit and even before I registered I stumble on a post (did not make a note of who wrote it, sorry, it was in the very beginning). It stated something that caught my attention, I can even say, it fired up my imagination. That the majority of Steemit users are disillusioned with the status quo. That what underlines most members of this network is a feeling of mistrust of our dominant institutions and a sense that it can't be fixed with the tools we have had to our disposal until now. Our innocence has been lost and trusting the system in place has become kind of naive.

So as an introduction of who I am, I would like to share a student project made back in 2008 during my studies in university. It's a short documentary (of a sort) about the financial crash in the housing market in 2008. It was the first thing I ever edited, mostly made by low res footage taken by YouTube. It's of poor quality but personally of great importance. It marks the beginning of the end of my ignorance of our financial system and the inadequacies of our institutions to protect the common interest of the majority.

I started off with no knowledge of how our economic system really works, slowly I started to understand the mechanisms in place and it was almost funny to realize the forces at play. My reaction to this realization was humorous at first, I couldn't wrap my head around the hidden absurdity of the situation. So, the student project was made up by social commentating from comedians like George Carlin and Lewis Black.

This is the short documentary. Watch it if the wish. (warning: it's of poor quality, but looking back, after 9 years of filmmaking, I would rather make bad films with good ideas than quality films that just perpetuate a materialistic culture that does not serve the best interest of the majority of the population.)
