A catlike gaze [Eng/Esp]

There is something about the way cats look at you that always catches my attention. I'm not entirely sure if it's the attention they give to anyone in front of them; even when listening to sounds, they keep their gaze fixed, obviously more so when they don't fully trust you, as they don't know what you might do if you approach them. In these photographs, I share with you those where I managed to capture a very striking look. I hope you enjoy them.

Hay algo en la mirada de los gatos que siempre llama mi atención; no estoy del todo seguro si es la atención que ponen a cualquiera que esté delante de ellos; incluso escuchando sonidos mantienen su mirada fija, evidentemente más cuando no tienen plena confianza en ti, ya que no saben qué puedes hacer si te acercas, pero en estas fotografías les comparto aquellas donde logré capturar una mirada muy llamativa; espero que las disfruten.

This is a cat that lives near where I live; I always see him going from one place to another. Most of the time, when I try to approach him, he just runs away to his house. I keep trying to get him to warm up to me, but it seems that before he had a home, he didn't have very good experiences with people, so he's still a little afraid. But I'm glad that at least he always lets the person who takes care of him pet him, so the important thing is that someone gives him the love he deserves.

Este es un gato vecino de donde vivo; siempre lo veo ir de un lugar a otro. En la mayoría de ocasiones, cuando intento acercarme, solo se va corriendo a su casa. Sigo intentando que me agarre cariño, pero se ve que antes de tener su hogar no le fue muy bien con las personas, entonces todavía tiene cierto miedo, pero me alegra que al menos siempre se deje acariciar de la persona que lo cuida, así que lo importante es que alguien le dé el cariño que se merece.

When developing these photographs, as I said before, I focused on the gaze; I wanted the surroundings to have a certain touch so that they would complement the eyes. I brightened the photograph a little because I took this photo against the light and, therefore, there was little light, and I tried to make the colors that contaminated certain areas disappear. To be honest, I really liked the result.

Para el revelado de estas fotografías me estuve centrando, como dije antes, en la mirada; quise que el entorno tuviese cierto toque para que fuese complemento de los ojos, iluminé un poco la fotografía porque hice esta foto a contraluz y, por ende, la luz era escasa, e intenté que los colores que contaminaban ciertas zonas desaparecieran y, la verdad es que me gustó bastante el resultado.
