It is officially announced today that all Covid bans are lifted from the Country of Oman. People are very happy with this news. It's the highlight of the day. Though since the last 2 months things have been very relaxed, there were no more temperature and vaccine checks happening except for at the Airport and Some big malls. Else almost everything was back to normal.
Most of the people have dropped their masks as well, but there are some places who still insisted. Like yesterday I went for my Passport Renewal at the outsourced agency by the Indian Embassy and I was not wearing the mask. The lady there asked me to wear it, though her mask was on the chin. So I asked her, she was not wearing it properly then why was she asking me to wear it. Her reply was funny and no logic behind it. She told me, Just keep it on your face. So I asked her again, You mean show business, and she smiled. That was really funny. Probably it was still not official to drop the masks and the staff there was scared of any government penalties.
The biggest relief people are feeling is on no more restrictions and checks on Travels now. Returning back to normal life with no more showing the vaccine certificate or to wear a mask is a big relief. Hopefully this year commercial activities will improve. With so much of economic unrest at this point of time, possibly this will be breather as it can improve the business environment and growth of tourism
Those last 2.3 years, I do not think anyone will ever forget in their life. We really do not know if this is seriously the end or this was just a trial run for something bigger, and this is just a short break before we get bombarded with something more intense.
When this whole situation of Covid had started we were talking about what would be the first thing that we would do once it gets over, and I had mentioned Travelling.
This year July even I have planned for my long vacation to Italy which was actually planned for 2020 and did not happen. I want to do this before something again comes up and disrupts our travel. I have my travel plans starting from June till September every month and so much looking forward to.
