After a long break I return with everything, and what better way than participating this great contest by @jacinta.sevilla
I had always wanted to draw butterflies and finally I am given the opportunity, really be fascinated with the final result, I hope you also like it.
Let's start with a question: today we see as many butterflies as when we were little? Surely the answer is negative. Because currently the different species of butterflies some to a greater extent than others are threatened by different reasons and their number has been significantly reduced in recent years.
Because the butterflies are vital for the environment, since they are the main pollinating agents that exist: they transfer the pollen from one side to another (from the stamen to the stigma) in the flower to guarantee the production of seeds and fruits.
But there is another element, perhaps more subtle, but no less crucial: its beauty. Butterflies are important from the aesthetic point of view: they are a source of inspiration and joy. The flight of the butterfly inspires from metaphors and songs to poems and is a universal symbol of the beautiful, which has a cultural relevance. We focus on three questions to understand the problem and, above all, to act.
If the formula of the problem is to take care of the plant-butterfly link, here is also the solution. We have to guarantee, care for and promote that there are native plants in the cities, and you can start with your house, your balcony, garden or the green roof of your building.
Another tip is to participate in the awareness activities of conservation NGOs, which not only organize talks, but also deliver seeds and seedlings of native plants.
STEP 1: First I made the silhouette of a common butterfly.
STEP 2: I start coloring part of the butterfly wings in yellow.
STEP 3: Above the yellow color I apply the color orange and then red.
STEP 4: Then I color the rest of the wings with the blue color.
STEP 5: Above the blue I apply a darker blue.
STEP 6: With a black marker filling the entire outline of the wings of the butterfly.
With a black color I make the shadows, this will give a 3D effect.
