"Behind the screen" - Drums Cover recording - by @nahupuku - 2024 Drums Parts
PukuGreetings to all my pukufriends. I present you the second party this instrumental extreme metal music video recorded at PukuEstudio titled: "Behind the screen" - Drums Cover recording - by @nahupuku - 2024 Drums Parts, which I recorded with my drumset. I hope you like it and it's my new video for Hive. Blessings.
In this video I'm going to show you how I make my drum covers using Artificial Intelligence. First of all, what I do is look for the song or video of the song I want to record, in this case, it's a song by the band Ghost, the song is called Cirice, and I look for the video and download the audio and I go to the Artificial Intelligence page called: melody. ml at the beginning I give Login or create a user and I use a mail the mail, it gives you the option to add two songs or upload two songs (two credits), then I search the song and here I give upload and I have two options, or instrumental vocal as for kareoke or vocals, drums, instrumental, bass and guitar, as you can see here: guitar, piano and other sounds, I wait for it to upload, it is processing that is to say that it is separating the original track in all these layers, and here it is indicating it: processing, and you have to wait a few minutes until it is ready, and once ready, it will give the option to upload or download, just here under the word credits and click here on Download. Once downloaded it will look like this: bass, drums, instrumental, guitar, keyboards, which is known as other and vocals, which is only the voice, each of these is an individual and separate track, which, being Artificial Intelligence is quite interesting sound that achieves to separate each track of the original theme: Remember that this is the sound of the original drummer who recorded the song and what the sound engineer recorded in the studio where they recorded the album.
Then already having all this information I go to my video editing program (VideoPad) and if you see in the video it says: guitar in this track, the voice in another, the bass and also my drums, that is to say what I am recording and contributing, Playing The Drums, the original and real sound is here and above in blue, what would be the first track that here is called the audio track 10, if you notice the name says drums, ie, that is the original drums of the band, in the first part is the intro, but if I zoom in here you can see how basically the drums, the blue one above, and the green one which is mine below, coincide almost in its totality, that means that the cover of the song that I am doing is basically played very similar to the original song.
My way of recording is in one take, I put on my headphones, and I record because as I have heard so many of these songs I basically play it by ear in one take, and that's why it comes out very similar to the original drums, by the way, I play without a metronome, for example in the case of minute 1. 08, that fragment that is in the third line, the third track, which is the audio track number 9, is an ornament that I wanted to add to the drum track, because it is like an entrance of two bass drums with cymbal that I didn't do in the original video, but I added a small detail to it. In this track as you can see is very little what I add in editing, but it is at least if I am missing a bass drum or if I want to repeat a drum roll to sound better, they are minimal details that I add.
Of course the sound of my drums is totally raw, different from the original, because it is the sound of my studio, of my drums at home, compared to, of course, a drum set recorded in a studio outside, internationally, with the drummer of Ghost and all the equipment that must have professional: compression and sounds that has obviously is something super professional, remember that what I'm doing is homemade, are sound experiments, something modest and unpretentious. Simply to experiment, what I like is that once the sound of my drums and the sound of the original drums are already coordinated or in a certain way they match or synchronize, what I do is the following: once ready, I remove the original drum track and put mine so I can upload the video playing my interpretation but using the bass, voice and the real and original guitar and well, that's basically how I do the editing work, I add one or another effect, but there are very few effects or modifications that I use, for example, here it's like a minimum time adjustment of a bass drum and a snare drum, delaying them a couple of seconds. And so, when I go to edit my drum track, I create two tracks: an empty one where I make the small adjustments and the main one and that would be basically everything, and then I export the video and publish it on my YouTube channel, I repeat without any pretensions, just enjoying the process, and so little by little I record the covers, I hope you liked my video, as you can see it takes quite a lot of editing work. First since my drums are in accordance with the rhythm and the time that the original song deserves, as well as the edition per se that are more or less 2 hours and a half for each song that I cover.
Este video fue grabado nuevamente en una sola toma cada v铆deo (one single take recording each video in real time) ejecutada 100% improvisada en tiempo real con la c谩mara encendida).
