This is my new original creation, finished it a few minutes ago, but the interasting thing is I had no plan when I started to draw. This was supposed to be a sketch for the drawing.
I did have the idea that I will draw a robot or a droid but didn't plan on what would be his/her function, let me show you what I mean. It started normally like any other drawing. The head, neck, shoulder, arm...
At this point the idea for the droid was to have a energy shield in the arm that was drawn, so of course that led to a natural shields counterpart, a sword (axe, mace, lance, you name it) you know what I mean...
When the arm with the sword was finished I went on to the rest of the body, chest, pelvis, legs. So after I finished the body it was time to do the finishing touches, the deails and shading...
And here we go dear Steemians, the finish, and now you have your very own droid guard.
After all art is spontaneous and sometimes you just have to accept that. I am quite pleased how this drawing turned out so I hope you will like it too.
