Nambung National Park
Arranged 19km from Cervantes, Nambung is home to the astounding Pinnacles Desert, a tremendous, outsider like plain studded with a large number of limestone columns. Rising frightfully from the desert floor, the columns are remainders of compacted seashells that once secured the plain and, over centuries, in this way disintegrated.
A circle street goes through the arrangements, yet it's more amusing to meander by walking, particularly at nightfall, full moon or day break, when the light is magnificent and the group vanish. Adjacent Kangaroo Point and Hangover Bay make pleasant excursion spots, with grills and tables. The last has the better swimming.
