I returned to Wolf Cub Falls under a cloudy, stormy sky, to take in the dramatic atmosphere and waterfall sounds. After attempting and failing to snap a lightning strike in photo mode, I admired a flower before swimming close to the falls to give Jin a refreshing shower.
Keeping a promise to myself, I returned to Wolf Cub Falls. The location looked breathtaking during my previous visit under bright sunshine, but a heavy blanket of storm clouds had now darkened the entire landscape.
Even without the sunlight, the waterfall retained its natural beauty, cascading down the rocks while the soothing sound of rushing water filled the air.
A severe storm seemed ready to break at any moment, marked by rumbling thunder and sudden flashes of lightning across the darkened sky. I opened photo mode and tried repeatedly to capture a lightning strike, but the flashes vanished far too quickly for me to time the shot properly.
Realizing I could not match the speed of the thunderbolts, I closed the camera menu and focused back on exploring the surroundings.
A single flower blooming on top of a small hill caught my attention. It stood out as a quiet, beautiful detail against the dreary backdrop, though it certainly would have looked even brighter in sunny weather.
Discovering that the deep water allowed Jin to swim freely around the base of the waterfall, I guided him into the river. I swam straight toward the falling water, letting Jin stand directly under the heavy stream to enjoy a refreshing shower before the storm fully broke.
