Today is August 15, National Mourning Day. On the day of the brutal and appealing political killings of history, 42nd martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On this day of 1975, a few misguided members of the army killed Bangabandhu at his residence at Dhanmondi 32-number house. Through this, a chronic section was added to the history of Bengalis.
On that day the murderers did not kill Bangabandhu only, they lost their lives in the hands of Bangabandhu's wife Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib, Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal and child Sheikh Russel, daughter-in-law Sultana Kamal and Rozi Jamal of Bangabandhu. Besides, Bangabandhu's brother Sheikh Naser, brother-in-law Abdur Rab Serniabat, Arif, Baby and Sukanta, Abdul Nayeem Khan Rintu, youth leader Sheikh Fazlul Huq Mann, and his pregnant wife Arju Mani were also killed. Colonel Jamil, who had run away to save Bangabandhu's life, was killed in the hands of the killers. But at that time living in the country survived, two daughters of Bangabandhu, present Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana.
Through the impunity ordinance, the assassins of Bangabandhu who were self-styled were exempted from facing trial. After 21 years in 1996, Bangladesh Awami League took the initiative to prosecute after coming to power and after the judicial work in 2010, execution was executed according to the court's verdict. But the six convicts are still absconding.

Apart from this, fateha lessons and munajat will be held. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also give wreaths to the grave of Bangabandhu in Tungipara of Gopalganj. There will be fateha lessons, guard of honor of the Armed Forces and the munajat will be held. Besides, a special prayer hall was organized in the graveyard. Ministries and departments, departments and agencies will hold programs in line with National Program.
On the occasion of the National Mourning Day, special prayers will be held in the mosques excluding mosques and special prayers in temples, churches, pagodas and other religious institutions throughout the country.
Apart from this, educational institutions, Shishu Academy and Bangabandhu Memorial Museum will organize life-based lectures on National Mourning Day and Bangabandhu. Awami League's program included the flag hoisting of national and party flags and black flags in all the offices of Bangabandhu Bhaban and the central office of the organization along with sunrise.
