By going there you can check all of your Notifications like if someone voted or commented on your post you'll get a notification even if you get mentioned you'll receive a notification.
On Right side of notifications you can check you rank in Ecency leaderboard, By keeping yourself busy on Ecency you can earn some rewards on weekly basis here you'll get your position in the leaderboard.
On you right side you can your profile photo if you uploaded any, you can go there and these things are always for you, which makes you feel better while going in to your profile and many other things like you can check your drafts, settings and can get your referral link ;)
