I joined Hive back in March 2023 with a reference of (who left this platform I guess) I had a lot of hope and energy. In the beginning everything felt exciting. I was posting regularly doing my best in connecting with people and enjoying every community I was posting in. It seemed like I had found a good place to share my thoughts and be part of something bigger.
But I made some mistakes that cost me dearly. I invited a few friends through Actifit with thinking it would be a fun way for us to stay active together. But, unfortunately their activity turned into spamming the system. But, top of that I was using the HiQ vote command a lot under my Actifit posts and other of my own posts instead of using under some other people's posts not just my own which wasn’t the right way to use it. I also shared Quranic verses by copying and pasting them, which HiveWatchers saw as low-effort content.
Soon after HiveWatchers blacklisted me. It was a hard lesson for me. They asked me to write consistently for 30 consecutive days without claiming any rewards to prove I was serious about contributing positively to the community. At that time I felt discouraged and overwhelmed. Instead of pushing through the challenge right away I stepped back my thoughts was about to leave Hive and took almost a full year off.

During that break I stayed away from posting but I felt hard about my mistakes and found myself guilty. So, I kept learning about the Hive ecosystem in the background. I read more about how curation works and the importance of original content, genuine engagement and building real value instead of shortcuts. With the passage of time I realized I could do better. I understood that Hive rewards patience, consistency and authenticity.
Now I’m back with a clearer mind and stronger determination. I’m posting quality content every day with a lot of energy and searches (or sharing my life experiences like this one) engaging meaningfully with other Hivers and steadily adding to my Hive Power (HP). It’s growing little by little and that daily progress feels truly rewarding. I’m not chasing quick gains anymore. Now, I’m focused on showing up consistently and contributing in a positive way.
If you’ve followed my earlier posts you might remember some of my old Actifit reports or those daily reflections where I was still figuring things out. Looking back at them now, I can see my growth. Those early posts were part of my learning curve even if they weren’t perfect.
To anyone who has faced a blacklist or is facing (as I can see many users) low engagement, or self-doubt on Hive or any other platform. I want to say them all, guys It’s okay to take a break when you need it. Use that time to learn and reflect. When you come back, remember to come back stronger with better habits and real understanding. The community notices genuine effort over time.
Stay consistent, stay real. 💪
