Given its harsh winters and muggy summers, Beijing shows best in the spring. It's a time when blossoms return to trees and locals ditch the heavy mittens and blankets attached to their scooters. In fact, there’s no better time for a little travel therapy than during this period of renewal. However, for most travelers, Beijing and “wellness” sounds incongruous. First- and even second-time visitors tend to pack their schedules tight, leaving little room for treating the mind, body, and soul, important components of a successful sojourn. The hotel is also part of Oriental Plaza and boasts direct access to the adjacent shopping mall, should bad weather drive you indoors.
