Recently, I have this tendency to collect reward cards. Many would say that this is a sign of being a tito (technically that means uncle but it somehow implies being an adult). These reward cards are meant to earn points whenever you purchased items in the grocery, paid bills or even when you purchased load for your sim card. When you earn enough points, you get to experience perks and freebies. Who doesn't want those things?
Yesterday, I went to my boyfriend's workplace so we could have a dinner together but it turned out that they had a meeting with his boss so I had to wait somewhere else. The closest and most convenient place to stay that I could find was 7-eleven (I'm not an endorser :P). I have been a holder of the EVERY DAY! Rewards Card since 2013 but I don't get to use it that much. Each point corresponds to every P50 (~1USD) of purchase. Just present the card upon paying. Okay, going back, while waiting, I was thinking whether or not to buy something, I noticed the machine where I could check my reward points. Upon checking, it came to me that, based on my earned points, there were items that I could claim. I was torn between rocky road cornetto or slurpee! But then, I chose cornetto. I got a free icecream! If you have a reward card with you, you can visit their website or you can download an app to check your reward points and the items that you can redeem. Once again, I am not in anyway affiliated to 7-eleven. I am just overwhelmed by my experience.
This one is my favorite. We cannot deny the fact that we have to buy load every now and then to communicate with our loved ones or with other important people. Every load purchase is equivalent to certain points (I don't know the conversion). And when you have enough points, you can redeem rewards that you deserve! I have used my points to redeem unlimited texts and calls and even unli use of Facebook app. For two weeks now, using my points, I have not spent a single penny for my load. If you are a Globe or TM user, you can check your reward points by sending BAL to 4438 or you can download a mobile app. Again, I am not in any way affiliated to Globe company.
You can also use your points to "shop, dine, and redeem your rewards at over 2,000 stores nationwide". For more information regarding the rewards, visit their website.
I just recently purchased SM Advantage Card so I am yet to experience its benefits and rewards. Also, I have enrolled our PLDT account (internet service provider) so I could earn points for every on time payment.
We have been paying monthly internet bills and I should have know about this way way sooner.
