With the right network, people and reward system in place, the future I envision flourishes with creatively and community.
I plan to put out more detailed visions in the future but here's a broad view for the sake of time.
Let me show you...
Your flip on your Augmented Reality glasses - which will eventually be contact lens and you choose Avatar view - which displays each users unique overlay.
Maybe you want to just flip on the Badge and Reputation System overlay
You see them having a conversation, biofeedback and AI body recognition recognize they are both having a good time and in a peaceful state so they are both giving each other positive reputation points.
A badge type of system: World Traveler - traveled to 7 countries / Book Worm - Over 10,000 books read, Meditation Master - Over 1,000 hours in meditation.- All of which would be verified by Bio-metrics and GPS.
Any other desired information could be displayed to the world: In A Relationship, Christian, Pro Gamer Likes: Football, Basketball
Ideally there would be infinite view-scapes to view the world through. I.e avatar view, deep mind view, wild west, cat in the hat, Disney, avatar, infinite numbers of cartoonish, dream world, psychedelic overlays.
All parts of these displays would be individually user controlled and alterable.
Gaming
Maybe you want to play a game of chess, checkers, tetris, or scrabble? All number of games could be displayed to all participants enabling them to play in AR.
If your a more hard core gamer and your actually at the park because there is a massive FPS gaming competition going on and you are there to take part.
In the further future and it might be the world FPS event, where you have teams from all over the world displayed on the same fields their glasses bringing in the information for all regions and blending the landscapes together. (For those who are unaware, the next generation of goggles replace the electron input in your eye so you can view completely different realities - check out Microsoft Hololens and Magic Leap on youtube)
The scale of epic gaming battles that will take place in the future really is mind boggling when you add in AR and VR users from all over the world.
Arts
The best way to help visualize some of this is to show a few posts from an Artist that went viral a year or so ago.

So you open up your "Art With Others" App and the buddings and sly transform to an infinite number of dream scapes and animations as you cycle through the highest rated - user and AI generated content. With the creators and engagers all being rewarded as they add to the network.
You could cycle though the highest rated Art, Animations, Music, Freestyles or Poetry recorded at the spot and then maybe decide to add some of your own.
Artists could even set up their own hidden art walks through the city you can go on
Advertising
The tradition advertising complex is crumbling...
Most of the items we buy we actually buy on a referral policy, that is, we see someone else with something and we become interested, so why shouldn't each individual culture influencer be rewarded?
Suppose you were one of the first kids playing with the spinner toys that went viral. Another kid sees it and has his AI search the web for it, upon displaying relevant items - the second kid buys one and has a drone deliver it, the first influencer starts to get rewarded for the chain he has started.
This should work everything we use in life: shoes, clothing, Interactive Clothing, gadgets.
Redirecting advertising budget to for a far more effective use.
This could be done in most interactions actually:
"hey you wanna get some food"
"yea what about fast food"
"nah not feeling it today, how about pizza"
Which ever choice is made and item purchased, AI would recognize the person suggesting or both would get rewarded, along with a small % of the network as a whole.
Starting with todays technology
58% of product searches now begin on amzon*
If not direct referral the quality or reputation of an item is often reviewed/discussed first?
I believe one of Amzons most valuable assets is the user reviews, still it is very clear the review system is gamed (new items with 50 positive reviews and similar comments)
What if they added a reputation system so you could really determine the best reviewers and give their reviews more weight? (possible they might do this already)
Imagine if you read a review and then purchased the item that reviewer or the whole chain all got a small piece, or if you saw a negative review and went to another product and purchased it the reviewer or chain of reviewers got rewarded as well. (ops amzon already started doing something like this this last month with spark ;)...)
What if a network with a very solid reputation system that had a community review network was to challenge Amaz*m, this network would have an advantage simply because it gave better rewards and the reviewers owned part of the network - a massive crowd source network where people only review all their favorite items or worst items and any ad revenue is split with the network and reviewer (network being the first in the chain in the above example). Talk about profitable content... Think of how much outside money could be brought in.
Now also have all participants in our network do their shopping through their favorite reviewers...
(this could get tricky TOS speaking if the network takes a portion of the profits but there should be a way to do it.)
Education
Augmented reality Graphical information displays with vasts amount of information on animals, fish, plants geographical can be crowd-sourced and designed to make learning far more interactive.
Lets go beyond that
What if every child had their own personal AI tutor as it were, specifically designed according to each childs learning strengths and weaknesses which could design interactive lessons on the fly, with higher and higher information retention and consideration in mind, what isn't working across multiple students being automatically accessed and corrected.
Ideally our network would operate 5-10 of the most profitable apps and independent developers would build the rest on our reputation system.
The Big Question:
Why does this network need to be built on a reputation system?
Governance.
The problem is we are living of a time of infinite information - information overload - there is so much false information being propagated that it becomes hard to the general population to know which information to trust - which ripples through every facet of our life. Certainly there are varying perspectives and if they stem from knowledge and wisdom they should be factored in, but there are equal amounts of plain false information, and we as humans need a better ways to sort through it and through out the wrong ideas quickly to proceed with the right ones.
We need consensus.
I envision the network participants directing the initiatives that they feel creates the network that best represents them:
How certain aspects of the network are run (what exactly are positive reputable actions and what are negative - certainly if you hit someone for no reason that would give you some negative reputation, but what about if you just approached someone and their heart raced in fear? If you approached in a hostile fashion?)
Where to direct money within the network, more money into education technologies, more for gaming, arts and artists support, AI advancement?
I only see this working if there are a large number of participants with close to equal power.
Skipping to the far future Ideally there would be somewhere in the 1% of the network with full voting authority and also select specialists with voting authority on select subjects, although i believe any person in the network should have some direct vote on any subject they are learned in.
Criminal Justice
Suppose when the technology is cheap enough you could deploy this network to a high crime city or suburb. With the instructions that the top 1% reputation people after a month (or week or day if you could ensure no gaming of the system in that time frame) would earn $4,000 and next 10% $1,000 and then a sliding scale down from there.
I believe we could see a stark drop in crime rates just with humans giving other humans reputation, and then with the introduction of AI... yes this get a little Orwellian which is why the systems foundation has to be rock solid with people of high intelligence and moral character.
With the drop in crime rate we could then start petitioning governments to reallocated funds from the criminal justice system to our network as we would prove a better return on investment. I believe this would also happen in the education field and perhaps even healthcare.
Further more it would become very easy to identify bad actors within the police forces that should be submitted for futhur review. Better bridging the people sworn to serve and protect with the people they are protecting.
This network becomes like the parent that is more so interested in rewarding a child when they are good then punishing them when they are bad. Reinforcing good behavior for the overall network of life.
With the introduction of AI for select tasks, I network could eventually take the place of many functions of government...
For example in America (350mil population) I could see the network lead by 350,000 of the top scientists, economists, industry leaders, politicians, philosophers all voting for select parts of the network and the direction of the network as a whole.
I will try to update this post when time permits.
