Hello Everyone!

Here is my latest graphite portrait drawing of my friend. Every detail in this drawing was carefully built up through layering, shading and blending.

I usually begin by sketching out the key facial features, making sure the proportions feel right before shading. I paid special attention when capturing the eyes and mouth.

For the shadows and darker areas, I used different pencil pressure. Another way is to use different grades and blending techniques to create depth.

The headscarf was also a fun challenge as a unique personality was saw added to the work.

As an Artist, each drawing is a journey in observation, emotion, and capturing presence. I hope this piece speaks to you as much as it did to me while creating it.

Thank you for stopping by, I love you all! ❤️
