It's Saturday afternoon and here in Melbourne it is raining...
Not cold, but still not the sort of weather where you can go outside and play. We have taken our Little 4 year old Man out to the shops and to lunch where there's a play area. Still now that he has been home and chilled out, he wants to go outside to play and can't. It is harsh.
To be honest, as I write this, I realize I have been treating the Little Man with kid gloves - I see other parents on Steemit letting their kids go out in the snow and winter cold to play - what's a bit of water? Once the children have passed the first couple of years, they should start to develop a level of independence and tolerance - they should be able to look after themselves a bit more and be able to cope with a raincoat in the rain. As it is though - this little man is an organizer of his Mum's activities ie. he is not going to go outside without me to play with him, and I am not in the mood for getting soaking wet.
Daytime kiddie TV just doesn't cut it - the Furchester Hotel is on at the moment and as much as I actually enjoy it, Little Man just isn't into daytime TV :(
So I had better go and look at his toys with him - what is it that works for a rainy Saturday afternoon?
Looking at his toys - maybe it is time to go and get some toys that are constructive and not just noisy. We will see...
