Giving it a go for my first poetry reading vlog. I will try to do this more often, but are my fear of putting myself out there subsides, I'll do more. This is a poem called "You and Eye". I think of you still as life rolls by
I wonder what you are doing and why
What are you thinking of as you read me?
What images am I making you see?
What feelings can or could it be
I wonder will you ever need me?
Like a skinless body without you, I’m feeling
I guess a “you and me” thing, just isn’t appealing
Your memories ravenously rip me apart
Taking away everything, and leaving me with a broken heart
I can’t give us up just yet
I told you I fell in love the moment we met
I’ve been out a few times
But no one compares to the convos and rhymes
You and I shared
You and I paired
You and I bared
You and I scared
You and I once, and maybe never again
You and I
We have argued over the trivial
To cover what really matters
You and I
Torn apart by actions instigated by fear!
Those feeling I now carry dear
Yet still I think of
You and I
In love
Remember as it once was
Because I sure do
Every second of every minute, of every hour,
Of every day, of every week
Sometimes I think that we should never speak You and I
But I speak to you in phrases
Heart filled poetic praises
As your eyebrow raises
Contemplating a call, a tear, a feeling
Just close your eyes and imagine
You and I
