No matter how negative money as stated to several discussions and teachings, money helps one function. Money is life. They said Money is the root of all evil* maybe? because robbers do exists.
When it comes to saving money, people has several takes on it.
Are you more of depositing your monetary possession in the bank or safe keeping it at home?
For those who prefer the latter, here are some of my tips on where to and not to put your savings in the house.
[x] BACKYARD
Some people think burrying money underground is ideal but I strongly disagree.
Rain damages money. Remember money is biodegradable, even if it's in a seal-able bag, the temperature will still leave marks on the money.
Worse, you're neighbor might see you digging even at night and the possibility that your animal peg digs and damages the bag of money.
[x] MATTRESS
As seen in movies, people leaves their cash underneath the bed before going to sleep.
But actually, one should not do that in real life, because the master bedroom is the first place the robber will check up on.
[x] PAPERBAG
Sounds uncommon. It could be safe, yes. But once the criminal took your cash, they of course wouldn't just put it into their pockets.
Possible that they would reach the bag you're keeping the money with.
That would give the robbers a pleasant surprise knowing the bag they've used has a bonus money inside.
[x] OLD WALLET/OLD BAG
Robbers once entered the house of the targets will first suspect purses and bags to be a pot of hidden cash.
Never consider them safe and secure. Robbers know that old or new, wallet is made for money keeping.
[x] LAUNDRY BASKET
You may say, no one will be interested to come near dirty laundry. Yes and no.
Yes they do not care about your dirty clothes. But no because it is not the laundry robbers are interested with, but the basket itself.
Robbers use basket and its kind to transport objects they took from the crime scene to their van.
It is a bit obvious, I got it. but for the very reason that they do not want to come back and forth number of times, they would definitely remove whatever is inside of it to be useful except cash that they happily found on bottom of it.
[x] PICTURE FRAME
Very common, even big clocks. robbers are now smart and very paranoid, it is as if they can smell money.
Let's not expect them to found cash behind the picture frame and suddenly felt guilt about getting your savings.
Your smile on the picture might just give hint that you are happy and satisfied with your life unlike the criminals. they'll be most likely felt they need the money more than you.
[/ ]The safest place
That I can think of so far is, wherever soft animals and other toys are located.
Kitchen more than bedroom. Beside cleaning detergents than where your notebooks and office stuffs are.
For me, personally, my trust goes with bank keeping. I have enrolled my accounts to mobile, online, documented like passbooks to monitor all financial transactions.
Whatever preference we all have.
Ensure the safety of the fruits of our labor. Not just for our future, more importantly for our family's safe and security.
