In military, mission success is always critical and the use of traditional compass in zero visibility conditions is virtually useless to divers and this is why James Fisher & Sons in partnership with US Navy Naval Surface Warfare Centre - Panama City Division (NSWC-PCD) has developed Shadow NAV to aide underwater navigation in unfavourable conditions with poor visibility.
It is mounted on a diver half-mask to provide hands-free underwater navigation capabilities and help in providing important information to divers such as visual display of compass, depth and time in zero visibility conditions.
