i forgot to comment on the metaverse and access. Well i'm not sure if that's entirely correct. I'd say people have access to smartphones and augmented reality. They probably have more access to technology than food. The reality of the situation is in our hierarchy of needs. The first thing you need is food, shelter, clothing as necessary and everything else is relative and subjective but not a need.

So if i go find a blue pebble on a mountain top 30,000 ft high and i bring it back to you and you become wealthy due to that. As it's valuable and desirable and for some psychological reason you believe it's made you more or better. The reality is it's a blue pebble you can't eat or make the world better with. That's it and if it makes you feel better that the world starves so you can have it. Similar to the idea of the blood diamonds. Then that's all that is. Now if you could obtain a rare artifact in a virtual economy that doesn't harm a village of exploited individuals then that changes the dynamic and if it's fair to explore the metaverse and more have the opportunity to these virtual resources. Obviously that makes the world better distributions wise. However in the poorest areas of africa or south america. they have smart devices and internet access you can input in some cheap goggles. So i don't tech is going to keep people away. I think it's politics that will and force from others..

Similar to how hive works in a very similar ignorant way. the distribution on hive is bad due to ignorant politics of the users not the technology.
