I think this was the smartest move for facebook and makes sense. my problem with cryptocurrency metaverse projects is they always feel ponzi scheme like. Facebook doing it means it has the resources and funding and mass adoption already. I know alot of people don't like the idea facebook is the forerunner. however i think it's necessary to evolve the minds of the participants in the metaverse.

crypto is bittersweet it's also corrupted many of us made us the worse versions of ourselves. atleast its some purity in facebook still. whereas, when you use meta we share the same technology on a equal level. That's not the case in crypto. W/ithin crypto there isn't even a close sense of decentralization like that. My abilities in crypto generally are based on how much money in invest in to control the network. i don't really see that on facebook.

projects like bitcoin myk that take money out of crypto aren' the most popular yet.. i think this is a flaw in crypto..i think it sets it back and because of that. i think products like meta will be more embraced than crypto versions.
