No trouble i'm willing to have a serious conversation with anyone who really serious about the conversation and not just trying to make conversation lol.
"Shitcoin Cash it's still a scam in my eyes and probably will be forever. If you make some money investing in a scam then good for you".
I mean that's your opinion and you can have it but on paper data wise. Bitcoin Cash is still say not even in the same ballpark as say a product like hive. Bitcoin Cash is accepted on most major exchanges. .Most visa card debit card services. Thousands of modules and business solutions all across the globe. Market cap of billions and daily volume of billions. So that is your opinion but the representation of the market says otherwise.
"Regarding that Bitcoin Myk... well, excuse me If I 'don't understand' enough (I'm a numbers guy and not that techie after all), but I only see 6 'holders' being you one of them with an aggregated 'value' of 55K$. Not to mention your ability to mint up to ~22M coins more aprox."
Well bitcoin myk to date has over 14,000 wallets over 6 exchanges. About 13,000 are on steem-engine but as you recall the fork from steem sent many over to hive. We were late to move to hive and not sure what would be our best direction. So the movement to hive has been slow. It's many holders and i only have one wallet and i completely use that same wallet to trade and its transparent i let people see my every buy and sell. If i wanted to hide i'd just use alts. I don't use alts. Bitcoin Myk has thousands of token holders. Yes we're higher on some exchanges than others but i'll accept hive engine exchanges are low volume exchanges. Again we're on 6 and we plan to apply to list on Altility this month.
We only release coins to the market once they are claimed. We call it minting the tokens. And every btc holder owns the coins. If people don't belive its true its simple to test the system or verify it over the blockchain. So distribution wise if you hold btc you get us free everyone on btc. Thats about all the commentary i can make on that i feel of importance. We do have our own blockchain where coins can be mined as well. Thats a bit more complex but we do have that ability.
"and you hold their coins for them? You don't see the problem?"
The coins are visible over the blockchain so they only need claim the coins. We don't have to hold them for them. Much like if you claimed a coin on an exchange or that supported a fork.
"Orderbook depth is only 15$ or 133 HIVE. I still don't see the value, according to my previous experience it seems that's a shitcoin. And again I'm telling you that using the term 'bitcoin' in the name is misleading. I don't mind about your good intentions."
We trade over about 6 exchanges now so the volume is fickled on low trade volume exchanges so at this point yes we haven't got on major exchanges. As far as the money held in orderbooks well not every coin holds alot of money on their order books for many reasons etc., I'd also observe that as bitcoin myk kinda mimmicks the bitcoin halving. bitcoin myk will probably trade more like gold. What i mean by that is fundamentally gold markets dont trade with the same type volume as currency markets. Like the usd and eur trades more than gold far more. So my evaluation is alot of people just hold btcmyk hoping the price goes up from the halving mimmick. Also we have the bitcoin myk backed dollar which is joined at the hip with btcmyk and thats probably going to have the most volume and it maybe has several times the order book value than btcmyk but they feed into the btcmyk liquidity pool so they both still have to move in trade volume somewhat together.
You have voiced your concern about a product not being owned by anybody or trademarked. That is your opinion we note that but doesn't make it a scam because you dont like we use the name. Also as we've stated if you hold btc you claim us free. We run on a freemium service. It's not necessary for us to sell tokens. We gain value from the bitcoin myk brand and ad revenue etc., and wallet apps. We make money everytime you download the wallet app etc., So everyone can claim teh tokens free or earn them free individual buyers of our token not necessary. So again you accuse us as a scam product but we can't stop you from saying that lol. We tell you we run on a freemium service you still think its a way to scam so its not much more we can say in response to that.
"Regarding the website, we have a WordPress with a free theme with some things around related with 'deflationary coin', 'UBI', 'referrals' and some 'bux links'...
Tell me, where I can find the 'fundamentally solid reasons' to ever thinking about touching this or the 'everyday utility' here? Explain to me, please. I truly want to understand your points".
I am truly glad you so sincerely want to understand my points. I'm here to help you anyway i can lol. It's true we use a Wordpress site. I would say though many devs use wordpress. We don't find it necessary to demonize wordpress as its many powerful applications on there. It's easier for devs to write code connect it to wordpress and connect every other site. So to us that just makes practical sense.
I'd also state alot of the confusion with some especially in the development world is that bitcoin myk even really needs a site. Does bitcoin have a site? Does doge coin or tether have a site? I don't believe you have to do anything from a site to use any of those products. Seeing that as a financial product we fall more in the line with them i believe. You can probably see that having any special site or any site at all would really matter. If we ran purely off our wallet app wouldn't even matter as how we're designed its just not necessary. "shrugs"
As far as finding fundamentally solid reasons to ever thinking about touching us. Well lets go over a few things. How many users does hive have? How many users does leofinance have? Bitcoin MYK has get this 6700 low level kyc accounts meaning they had to provide emails and some info without any dollar spent on marketing. Think a moment about that. Do you believe onboarding is important. Most people do. Why is it that we get so many users? Well right now with the global pandemic and the looming threat of automation real or imagined. The topic of UBI has become a good one. See its not a altruistic charitable dream. Many have actually found its a new economic model of the future. i felt this article spoke well about it https://medium.com/@fcecin/universal-basic-income-ubi-eos-mass-adoption-16a2eaab989
So utility and growth and many accounts are relative. The thing is if you have alot of users typically thats indicative of the fact you serve some need i think we could both agree on that. So whats the utility here well i believe 80% of the globe would opt for ubi. I've run experiments myself where many people opted for if given the choice of a ubi would choose one. Although not a global study something tells me around the world the figures would be pretty much the same or similar maybe even more. That as you well know may have to do with much of the planet resources often times being controlled by fewer and fewer people adn not distributed well amongst the globe.
Let's say you agree with all that and alot of people would wanna use ubi? Okay great how would you deliver the ubi to them? Would you wait for the government to cut a check? Would some private corporate organization do it. If so which tool would they use. So what we're saying is we're a product that accomodates and facilitates this need that we feel is a need and a big super need thats on the way.
What happens if a large portion of the world would use bitcoin myk. Well i'd imagine it would be quite stable and not able to be controlled by government or inflation etc., In other words it could be a new way forward in a good economic system. So onboarding and having that need met i think is in the utility we can provide that system. Also as i mentioned at the beginning of your article. If i wanted to make a business payment solution from crypto. Crypto would be one of the worse ways in my opinion to do that. it works good as a store of value. It doesn't work much better at anything else. no businesses unless its a one way payment or something like that to aggregate your value. Its just going to end up being inferior in any banking service pretty much with the exception again of store of value or some type of cd or financial device in that respect. However probably not well as a currency etc., So if you believe a product on a free wordpress site can get lol.. can get 6700 wallets with low level kyc and have over 14,000 wallet accounts across exchanges with no marketing and millions in site visits. Then i think you can understand and see some utility there sir.
I'd imagine you haven't read the white paper or fully understand the product. We're multichain but the supply never changes. So you can move us from steem to hive and its the same supply. Its no added coins its the same supply on several blockchains. So you could move your value from chain to chain no problem in that way. You can move us to Steem, HIve, Waves, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Polkadot.
So we have our own chain on polkadot we briefly touched on. So although we can transfer from chain to chain we also independently have our own chain with the same token supply. So its never goign to be any new inflation of coins. Its the same supply on every chain. So that in itself should be a use case facilitating your movement from chain to chain. However we think that pales in comparision to UBI.
Regarding that, that's true that 'crypto' won't save us, but It's a very interesting tool for a lot of things, to take away power from governments is just an example. What about this website? I can tip you for free because I own X stake. That's a very interesting use case if you ask me.
I'm also not sure If you read my post, I talked about 2 clear examples of companies using this tech to offer a better service Vs their 100% centralized competitors. And not, not talking about 'payment networks', there's a vast world outside of 'payments'.
Well its an interesting tool yes if the systems themselves aren't infiltrated. The factor of the matter is at this stage of crypto its not impossible for much of crypto as we know it to already be under government control. Everyday even banks and institutions go in and buy up bitcoin probably own already 10% of it we know about. it could be chunks more they own we dont konw about.
So unfortunately segregating machines with code doesn't decentralize wealth.. or development or miners or exchanges. These components could just resurface in the role of the government and this seems more likely than not.. As crypto hasn't done a good job keeping forces at bay.
The website tipping comment went over my head so i can't comment on that, lol. You gave examples of company use about crypto and i said i didnt find them to be significant uses. You probably only have like payments and censorship resistance thats going to be anything compelling in crypto. As far as store of value yea okay that works but so far they've only worked as speculative devices in what you'd get in like a gambling like scenario and how we know many cryptos especially pow cryptos will fit the model of the future? In a world obsessed with climate change and being energy conscious . could just find an algo more like their future based on that and not our older present time.
Thankyou for taking the time to read this. I hope we've made a good case. Unfortunately if we haven't i just dont think this crypto thing is going to go maybe the way you think. Thanks again.
RE: 3 Altcoins for your 'everyday' usage.
