Whereas, these clearly are good reasons to use crypto. The problem is i think is that for most people we haven't made it yet to the precipice of an orwellian society. So it probably won't resonate with them that this is a concern until some major data breach occurs.

Privacy wise.. what i'm seeing is people just dying to tell you who they are lol. They wanna be famous they got their kids pictures all over the internet. Everyone wants to be someone, so privacy may be a hard sell in that these people are giving up all the info and data on themselves every chance they get lol.

In the hedge example yes its true bitcoin has done amazing. However there is sitll a great concern bitcoin cash crash. So when cryptos crash for whatever reasons. I dont know maybe a bitcoin replacement comes along more efficient not as hard on the environment. When that happens idk maybe bitcoin will crash but what we do know is cryptos can crash and they do so unlike anything we've ever seen .. unlike gold.. so i think that possiblity still exist.

As far as saving money i'm part of one of the projects to first use a rebate system for cryptocurrencies where you could buy your favorite items you buy anyway and earn it back in cryptocurrency . I think we predated loli by years. I just don't think thats compelling enough reasons to use crypto. It's a good bonus but i just dont feel like that would be the reason for people to use crypto.

I guess in the end what will drive people is a sense of urgency and a great use and need beyond speculation which is the dominate reason now. The main reason we use crypto most of us is we wanna get rich lol. You talk to any friend or neighbor beyond privacy and security. They want to get rich.

It wasn't long before i discovered that there is a sense of urgency that can exist in crypto and i think the best example of this is the pandemic. This showed people how they could be stopped in their tracks and how do they support themselves when this happens. So many depended on the government. We've had stimulus packages or some aid globally from our governments. We could just have much have had it on the blockchain. So stimulus payments .. universal basic income payments i feel is one of the best uses of the blockchain to really get people using and interested and find the value in it. So i'm part of such a project but i feel your reasons although sound good ..i just dont think they would convince anyone to use crypto in a significant way simply because it just doesnt resonate with the populace as of yet.
