Wild Ginger (Asarum Canadense) is a rare beauty in the Forests of the Pacific Northwest. It grows in mixed Deciduous woods in the understory. Its not easy to spot as its maroon flower blends in really easily with all the other stuff down there.
If you're going out to look for it, keep an eye out for its large waxy heart-shaped leaves. Each pair of deepm green leaves will sport a beautiful SEXXY maroon Lovely down below. Im imagining this one requires grubs or other land creatures to help with polination.
So rare and delicate. The Nettle patch i frequent is home to a Lovely assortment of other gems including this one.
And I am in Love. If ever youre out Nettling in thr spring be sure to check under the first layer. You never know what beauties will be hanging out ubderneath.
