After a hurricane took our roof, my husband and I stripped the house to the studs. It was a 4 bedroom two bath. We did all the work ourselves, except for the drywall, floor and bathroom tiles, and new roof. We lived in the backyard in a 20 foot camper with a rotweiler, a dachshund, and two cats for 18 months.
