Thank you for your reply. It does not only affect the fishermen but also the consumer pays more for the fish. Pompano is the highest priced fish that we catch we are now getting 6.85 a pound for them, when the consumer buys them from a retail market they pay 29 dollars a pound. I think the last trout my husband caught he got something over 4 dollars a pound, in the market they are over 15 dollars a pound. It is sad for me to think people are having to pay these prices for a fish to eat.
