Erica cinerea (bell heather, or heather-bell) is a species of flowering plant in the heath family Ericaceae.

Bell heather is a source of heather honey.
Its natural native flower colour is purple but there are numerous varieties with flower colours ranging from white through pink to red.
Erica cinerea is grown as an ornamental plant. It is drought-tolerant and grows well in full sun with well-drained soil. Like other cultivated heathers, it is often seen as groundcover among plantings of dwarf conifers.
