RE: Kyoto - Arashiyama
Most of my work is macro, but hopefully there will be some photos of larger subjects in the future!

RE: Kyoto - Arashiyama
Yes, in the spring they harvest the bamboo shoots when it has just started to grow, usually still underground. At that point it's still possible to eat it, and it's around 30-45cm top to bottom, but a

Thank you very much for your support and comment! Yes, bamboo is great, it grows that high in only a year or so!

RE: Beautiful Living Splashes of Colour: Swallowtail Butterflies!
Thank you very much! It's still pretty warm here as autumn is just beginning, hopefully I'll be able to get some more photos of the mantids, butterflies and spiders with the autumn colours!

RE: Neighborhood Jack Rabbits
Nice shots of the rabbit! I'm surprised they're out at -30! Most living things prefer to be a bit warmer! :P

RE: Looking into the Upside Down!
Thank you @victorbz I'm tempted to take a bottle of water with me next time, so I can get a puddle anywhere, without regard to the weather! :D

RE: Looking into the Upside Down!
Ah, I see now. No, not at the moment. Lots of quarantine to deal with now for trips and I'm not really interested in moving back permanently anytime soon. The pics of the mountains are still nostalgic

RE: Looking into the Upside Down!
Not sure I follow, I still live in Osaka and though I don't have any plans to go there soon, it is only 30 minutes by train. ;) Most day trips are out of the city, particularly now that it's great weather

RE: Looking into the Upside Down!
Not quite a ghost town but very close, few Japanese people walking about and nearly zero tourists from overseas. It'll be nice to get things back to where they were before.

RE: Fabulous Coffee Bee Hawkmoth!
This is a moth, even though in the name "bee" appears. The carpenter bee that I wanted to photograph didn't show up, so I'll need to capture some images of that soon.
