Currently, the whole country is in a “what would this lead to” type of situation where we all know the date for the upcoming protests but no one seems to be supporting going out to fight for our right.
I won't be going out for any protests. Not that the protests is good nor doe I think it's bad but to me, this protest is honestly not the solution to this country's problem.
If I start to mention countless issues with the country from its people to the government here, I would have to convert it into a book.
While we all like to blame the government for not giving out free money or providing basic amenities to the people, we can't ignore the fact that these people we term government are also people like us.
Now that people are planning to stage a protest that is probably going to be “not so fun” the only way I see forward for people especially young adults is to find their way into the global market.
These days, there are countless ways to make money. For instance, here on Hive, you get to be paid in dollars for your content as long as it is original.
We also have crypto traders who make daily money from trading.
This is the decentralization I'm talking about because if we are being honest with ourselves the U.S. dollars is the only currency with security and is one of the best ways to give yourself an edge in this ever rising inflation generation.
Few years back Venezuela was faced with similar situation that they sometimes had to use bags and things to pack money when going out to buy goods.
I am not saying the same thing is going to happen. But if you look deeply you will realize that we are heading there in no time because these fat fuckers called governments are never going to be able to find a lasting solution to the inflation issue that plaques the Nigerian economy.
For this reason, it is best to monetize your way out of the slum and strive to be a part of the global economy.
We have people working a job and getting paid in the local currency, but I bet when inflation hits us hard, that is when we will start to open our eyes to opportunity.
Nowadays, you can monetize basically anything like your X, TikTok, YouTube, and even Hive. All of these are ways we can stand a chance against inflation. Learning new skills online is also one of the ways to venture into the global economy. There are no doubt many more ways to go around this thing, but these are just the few I know and have experienced before.
Anyone begging the government for money is honestly setting himself up for failure. But what do I know, I'm just here rambling on my own.
