There are times when you'll have to sit down and reflect on few things in your life. Be it in your professional life or in your personal life.
Hence, why I'm writing this reflection Sunday post.
Without further ado, the past few days have been a rollercoaster for me. Like I've never felt so many emotions in just one week. First, dad was sick at the beginning of the week. That this set a lot of ground for other emotions that I later had to give in to.
This is because one, I wasn't able to go to the shop to work as I've got to stay with dad. That's what being so few in your family and you being the first one looks like I guess.
It's funny that sometimes I wish I had many siblings, not just younger ones but also older ones. Yes, being the first kinds of freaks me out each time I look at how I was brought up plus how my younger ones were. It's like they get a free pass on many things while I never did.
Everything I did was meant to be a topic to pick on, especially among my stepmoms. I'm still young in age, but with all I've seen with being an only child for 7 years to being the first one I can say I've experienced so much within such a little period of time on this rocky earth.
Well, that's that. So, let's get back to my dad and me staying with him. The fact that I had to stay with him all-day freaks me out to the point where I started seeing how life is so volatile in thinking.
One minute you have one thought and the next second you have another. One minutes you've got life and the next minute you're not with it anymore.
Not that I mean my dad is at the verge of dying, but I just can't help but think about a day when he'll be no more. The same also goes for me writing this post.
I feel like life is fleeting, and we miss every second by thinking about money and all. But then, money is also important because if there was no money to get drugs, do tests and afford basic amenities for anyone who's sick, you'll find it challenging to have a bounce back from the illness.
I don't even know what exactly I should focus my attention on right now because I'm here just living and letting things out the best way I can without getting too emotional about it.
Right now, I'm thinking about loss, life, legacy and everything inbetween. But before all that, what do you think you'll do right now that you can never regret for the rest of your life.
That's what I think I'm able to focus on because the past is gone, and the future is not assured either. But here and now is all I have, so i won't have too many expectations about the new week and just live right at this moment.
Life comes first. Loss comes last.
