The network sucks right now, if not, I would have shown you a video about a girl talking about Hive and how the comment section looked like.

But yet, I'd like to touch on a little on what I think could be beneficial for Hive.

So it happens that when I was scrolling YouTube this evening, I saw a video from 2 years ago with almost 5k views. It's probably the first video I've seen about Hive that has that many views.

However, what I wanted to touch on is the comments made on the videos because the post got around 88 comments and most of them were about how difficult it is to create an account?

In short many of them have tried signing up, but they can't understand the complexity that comes with creating a Hive account.

And if we are being honest, it is really annoying when you're trying to create a Hive account for the first time.

If I could remember, inleo made a break through with creating lite accounts back then, but I bet telling people about inleo, hive, ecency and all would be another complication on its own. Which is why I was thinking of a way we can all get things done without having to switch to multiple front ends.

Hive.blog is a great site and I think if the developers were able to make this site an avenue for more sign-ups then it'll be much easier for users to get in.

Then from there we can introduce them to other frontends and all other complexity that comes with Hive. Because in all honesty, I think all the 88 comments are definitely having an issue that goes in the line of signing up.

Some comments were just plain thank you for sharing, but I bet none of them have ever used hive before with my little observation.

YouTube is a perfect place to get more users to this space. I know YouTube is not like twitter, but there's a different in audience and I think the type of audience that Hive needs are on YouTube more than on X.

Twitter is filled with crypto fanatics who just want to debate about baseless things without listening to whatever you have to say.

To end it all, what other ways do you think we can help increase onboarding of new users because as it appears, there are countless people who have heard about but the big issue has always been about signing up. And I believe many of us here have also had our own fair share of signup troubles.
