Dtube content isn't visible on Google. It needs a "real" search engine, where people can find the content. I am getting over 80% of my views on Youtube through Youtube search and Google search. My content isn't in browse features. I assume that it is because the big influencers and content creators are putting lots of money into it so that it will be profitable for them. They are creating trends, making money with cooperations so that brands can sell it.

Anyway, I am still sticking around on Dtube and consuming content not only because of the upvotes, but I do see potential in changing the way it is. Most YouTubers are doing is JUST because of the money. This is okay because they have to pay their bills, as you mentioned. However, it creates a false economy as people are only looking at the views, and most people aren't experts in their niche, but nobody knows. This is creating bad brand deals, and brands are getting hurt as people don't know how to use products/or whatever correctly...

We, as small content creators, must stand up against it and produce valuable content for the platforms so that we can go against those fake influencers! Dtube has a chance, and I don't see the potential in free speech, etc. as most free speech is just bullshit and harassment. It is valuable for the "real" journalists but not for bad people.

I see the real potential in "No views, no likes, etc." As soon as you see views/likes it's over. That's a huge industry, creating fake reviews, fake accounts, etc. But Dtube is transparent, at least you can see the bots and check other people's accounts. Even if you don't know who it is, but at least you know what they are doing 😀
